Big Shrimp, the young and hungry quartet featuring Jared Sage Cowen (Guitar/Vocals), Max Perrotti (Bass/Vocals), Henry Thomas (Drums), and Daniel Cohen (Keys) formed in 2024 and based in Bridgeport, CT, delivers a unique blend of masterful, high energy guitar work and well-crafted songwriting and is already making a massive impact on the music scene just a year in. Their extensive repertoire includes over 100 original songs that balance complexity with a straightforward appeal.

Big Shrimp’s songwriting has been featured on Spotify’s "Modern Jam Band" editorial playlist, with tracks like “Chop Suey” and “Can’t Cut the Mustard.” Their first live compilation album, The Prawno Tapes Vol. II, showcases both new original material and inventive covers such as "Elmo’s Song" and "Ain’t No Sunshine." Looking ahead, the band is preparing for a new studio album and an extensive tour in Spring 2025.

The official launch of Big Shrimp in 2024 included their signature festival, LonCon, at Wonderland Forest in LaFayette, NY—a celebration of live music, art, and community. They also honored their new roots in the Fall with the "Black Rock Special" residency in Bridgeport, featuring six donation-based performances, each themed around different musical and culinary shrimp specials, with proceeds benefiting local Connecticut charities.

Now embarking on their 2025 Spring and Summer Tour, Big Shrimp continues to build momentum with major opportunities, including opening for Eggy at the legendary Westcott Theater, supporting Spafford, and performing at Northlands Festival in New Hampshire alongside heavyweights like The String Cheese Incident, Corey Wong, moe., and Umphrey’s McGee.

With fresh energy and a focus on growth, Big Shrimp is poised to continue making their mark in the jam and progressive rock scene.
